The word equality is completely lost on you, isn't it?

No they don't. Only 12 states recognize same-sex marriage (and if you move to a state that dones't, then in their eyes YOU are not married). and certainly, the federal govt says you don't have a marriage.

To be recognize at ALL levels to being married.

It's time for the religious bigots to shut up and go the way of the do-do. People are tired of the religious zealotry of hate while hiding behind their fairy tale book and the sayings of a sky daddy. You have your marriage and are protected by the 1000 benefits that the government gives you. so shut-up and get on with your lives and leave the grown ups to play.

They want their nation and its states to respect their marriages in the same way that their nation and its states respects the marriages of us heterosexual folks.

No, they don't. They've won some victories, but justice does not yet prevail.

That's what I don't get. Why are the straights so p*ssy about gays demanding what they the straights already have. They've already got it, what's there to b*tch about?

Really? SSM is legal in every state, and is federally recognized just like hetero marriage?

When did this happen?

Mental illness resides in all segments of society..Gays and lesbians are not immune to being slightly nuts. Extremists have always been a problem. Your patronizing tone and familiar bigoted attitude ( be thankful for what you got sounds a lot like someone not liking " uppity blacks ") are tired. It's the cries and whining of someone who knows they have lost the battle. The world is moving past you and your kind and you don't like it.

You also seem under the impression that gays have equal rights everywhere, something that is easily checked. Are you just being lazy or what?

LOL. The special rights argument is so so unsound and well, childlike in it's logic...wait there is no logic.

No-

We are talking about the special rights under Obamacare

We are talking about the special rights in which the rights of two lesbians trump those of a baker in Oregon

We are talking about the right to express one's political opinion, without being harassed or audited by the IRS

We are talking about the right to donate to a political candidate, without being harrassed by the IRS

We are talking about the right to be a part of a Christian organization without being harrassed by the IRS

We are talking about the right to free speech without being harrassed by the justice department

Oh! To have those "special rights" that seem to be granted to gays and lesbians via the Obama administration would be nice. However, simple lack of illegal harassment and equal protection under the law would be all that one could ask for. We can ask, but of course, in this fascist regime our wishes will not be granted.

Exactly throwing temper tantrums is unbecoming.

Thank you for proving my point about there being no logic in the special rights debate.
