Can the ipod change crappy diapers? If so how many at one time? How many teachers with ipods per 8 month olds? 1 parent or sibling(with or without an ipod) is going to be better with an 8 month old than a roomfull of 8 month olds with a .... teacher and an ipod and a couple boxes of diapers and wipes..

The infant to teacher ratio is 3:1. Teachers are not allowed to have iPods.

You may have something here, in a controlled environment, like with a parent or sibling.. dont see how a teacher will be able to share this with a bunch of 8 month olds...

She has a plan, just saying it requires parents to work with their child.

I got to hand it to the Missiissippi Govenor, what a masterful politician's play.

first of all, I'm sure the question was asked of the Govenor to get his response [as the Governor] on Mississippi's state of educational decline...Not to philosophize on the condition of education in America in a post feminist era.

Well played, Sir.

Hey Governor, how ya gonna fix the freaking problem?

When a kid stays home with the mom they are usually waited on hand and foot therfore spoiled. They also are less likely to be socially adjusted.
I don't fault parents if both are working because many times they have too but those early years are the most important years in the development of your child. It defines who they are going to be. To suggest a stranger who is looking after dozens of kids can do a better job than a dedicated parent is ridiculous.

You know what the difference is between these inner city kids that can't even read when they get out of HS and other successful kids? The parents are the difference, if you look at anyone of these kids that are successful that came out of that environment there is always one single common factor. There was an adult in their life that took an interest from when they were very young.

As far as spoiled goes... LOL... you don't know my Mom.

People are saying women are in the workforce because of a liberal conspiracy. No silly, it's because most families need 2 incomes in this day and age.
