It may never get to that low level again under any administration.
Even if it does, most will not be celebrating, as their economic status will be closer to a third world country rather then a economic powerhouse.

Technology advances, are replacing workers at a higher rate then any other time in our history.

Many who were once the middle class along with lower skilled workers are struggling and will be unable to find anything but minimum wage jobs (and some here would like to see the 'minimum' go away).

I know right! LMAO big time. The problem, too many clowns believe as Obama does, we ain't going no where.

Please if this were such a great economy most people standing in line for their monthly checks and food stamps, would be working.

Housing in all parts of the Country, would be thriving and sorry to tell ya this, but that ain't happening. Housing has picked up in a select group and in certain areas.

So many many areas, are still bombared with short sales, bank owned properties, repos, and foreclosures.

And the many many businesses that have closed ~in a thriving ecnomy, would be booming, not closing their doors.

I don't expect much from a Obama supporter, for they come up with as many excuses almost as he does.

It would seem that the problem is that too many clueless morons believe the Republican BS about austerity, then ignore the overwhelming evidence (and common sense) that tells one it would be (and has been) an utter disaster.

The reality is that things aren't great, and pretty much everyone acknowledges that. The question is why. Is it because of leftist policies (seems odd, since we never actually tried that)? Should we have embraced the right wing slash and burn strategy (again, seems like an odd thing to support, since it has been an epic failure)?

The economy is all about expectations. Now we are conditioned to believe 7 % unemployment is a strong labor market and 3% GDP is enough growth.

How does the eocnomy of 2004 look now with 5% unemployment?
Booming Markets, homeownership through the roof- Everything was just peachy!!!

Governments are clueless about believing that it is their spending $$$$ on whatever which invigorates the economy, since Obama has broken every spend record in existence with miserable results.

The government stimulations of our housing market need to go away; thank goodness Bernanke is on his way out the door, since he's made Obama look like the incompetent big-spending liberal micromanager that he's always been, since Democrats have a multi-decade history of being just that, going back to FDR and beyond.

Take away the hot automobile market, and the rest of the economy is essentially comatose, and Obama & Co. have done nothing except make things worse.

So why are we spending billions and billions of dollars on unemployment handouts and all the many welfare programs?

Is the OP ready to admit the so-called poor are just plain lazy?
