That's not a prank that is just plain stupid. Schools have cameras everywhere nowdays. Couple idiots destined for jail is what we have here. But hey their parents can pay for their stupidity instead of them is what the law is saying. Yippee.

Probably best to keep this story hush-hush, as given the poverty of the younger generation's imagination today, it may spur copy-catter's, who may try a little harder at not getting caught!

Couple years back some idiots at the local high school did their little prank. Went and slashed a bunch of school bus tires, splattered stink bait and glue and crap all over the buses etc. They got the school real good. Had to start a couple hours late. They were charged with vandalism and weren't allowed to graduate. Some prank. Idiots.

I've noticed a couple of neighborhood houses/yards wrapped in that yellow/black crime scene tape this summer. A little startling at first. Then I realized, toilet paper is too expensive now. Where there's a will there's a way, lol.

It's more than overboard, this is criminal vandalism. I'm going to assume these aren't cheap locks, this might be a $10 to $20K bill.

It's just stupidity and they should have realized this wasn't a joke.

It's called senior pranks & it's been going on since the dawn of man. Lighten up.

I would be more upset if they had locked the kids inside the school. That would have been dangerous. Locking them out is a harmless if annoying prank. Let them or their parents pay for the repairs.

FWIW there are solvents for instant glue. Cleaning the locks is no big deal. Now a big deal would have been organizing a way to glue all the locks on all the schools on the same day. That would have been really annoying.

Lesser tyrannies like school administrations need to get their noses tweaked every once in a while so they know they have not intimidated all the kids.

Nothing wrong with having a little bit of fun but this is not a harmless prank. When the prank is going to cost someone thousands of dollars it's a crime.

A little bit of gas and it'll clean right up. Good grief.
