This partisanship is the climate Obama works in best. When the people are so divided it is easy for the government to wield it's sledgehammer.

During the W administration the Democrats knew they could not go after the administration because the same thing would happen. Everyone would clamp up in a nano second.
The Republicans knew they would not get this information out.
But they wanted to show they have prowess by parading the administration into hearings that would go nowhere.
Nothing will be solved by these hearings and the Repubs knew it- its all about trying to slander an administration and party.
The dems wanted to bring down the Bush administration from 04-08 but knew it would really accomplish nothing.
Bottom line - Hearings are not solving the problems. And yes there are problems.

There was no partisianship prior to Jan 2009?

Bush did not divide the country with his evangelical backed domestic agenda and neo con military ambitions that are still being carried out?

The Dems are rubber stamping Tyranny and the R's are letting it happen. They BOTH SUCK BALLS! IMO, BOTH parties want to have a piece of the Tyranny, that's why we won't see anything happen to anyone and the R's will not say a word. A couple will, but they will be cut off by the party machine. Same with the Dems. We are SCREWED!

The biggest problem is that we are spending ALL of our time investigating scandals which delays any real governing that might help the people.

Righties need to govern - they seem to have an almost allergic reaction to it right now; perhaps because they are so divided.

Am I concerned about phone records and the IRS? Yes, I am. But I don't want that to overshadow everything else. Just like Behghazi has.

Because nothing says 'Jobs, Jobs, Jobs" like more time wasted on repealing Obamacare for the 37th time; 400 hearings on Behghazi . . . righties have worn us out with all their 'scandals'. Now, when a real one comes along - we're all too tired of it all to listen.

I think both sides of Congress are quite happy with these hearings vs dealing with our economic problems/debt/deficit. Pointing fingers and calling each other names is a lot easier then dealing with numbers and possibly cutting off funds to people who put them in office.

Your real governing comes at the state level.
The Fed level is only dealing with taxes, foreign and national budget issues.
And these days the Fed would rather be working on social issues than any budget issues.

Yup- they do not like dealing with issues at all; either side:

The Republicans' Plan to Take Down Richard Cordray

Problem is when people convince themselves, that any wrong doings commited by themself or others, is acceptable.

Problem is when people talk themselves into beleiving wrong is right, and thats the way it is going to be, it is a up hill battle getting to the real truth.

And this sucks, because at all costs, whoever and how high up our problems do go, accountability needs to be accepted.

Not to the extent that it has grown over the past 4.5 years.
It's turned rabid and party is the top priority now regardless of what the party does.
And our elected officials use every opportunity to promote this divide.
You hear about the contentious bills but never about the ones they all side with.
One would think nothing has passed in Congress if they only followed the MSM headlines.

Just look at our recent scandal involving the IRS.

The IRS admitted guilt. They admitted they fixed it and it happened again.

And the "party means all" followers say "Good for the IRS. Conservative groups deserve this."

Divided we shall fall.
