Many Americans are worried about the increase of Hispanic immigration and Spanish language in the United States...
Guess what! Same thing was happening with the Germans and German language. Americans were in fear over German being an official language or replaces by English but after a generation it died out. Spanish will die out as well. Many Hispanic kids do not speak Spanish fluent, and use English more.
Keep in mind that only 12% of the U.S. population have knowledge of Spanish.
Spanish in the present-day USA predates our independence. It has been spoken over 200 years in some parts, mainly the southwest. I think it will endure in some areas.
It will take several generations for Spanish to die out, and will never die out as long as Hispanic immigration continues. I hear Spanish all the time in Walmart.(Texas), and that is on the predominantly white side of town. The same thing happened in USA. I grew up in Wisconsin. Many churches had German services up until WWII. Once that started, the German worship services mostly stopped. ESL classes are very common in Texas. I taught some of these. We had people that had been in Texas for 15 years but still couldn't speak a word of English.
Yeah right -- ask the Indians how well open borders and unlimited immigration worked out for them.
The numbers of Spanish speakers arriving every year is simply too high and in many regions, it would be difficult to assimilate with Americans even if they wanted to because English isn't much spoken. If they wanted to assimilate, they'd start out by showing respect for USA laws, but also immigration is not at all fair and balanced, it's heavily dominated by only one ethnic group/language.
You have to remember that in the past, there was a much better mix of immigrants. People from a wide variety of nations -- Ireland, Germany, Poland, Italy and so on -- people saw the need in having a common language. You didn't see the same arrogant demand that those already here learn their languages either.

You should learn to be more reserved in your opinion when you don't know what you're talking about.
