I don't think this has anything to do with terrorists. If this administration and the one before were really concerned with safety they would close the darn border and deport illegal aliens instead of advocating for another amnesty.

This surveillance crap is nothing but tyranny.

Obama said he was going to change America fundamentally but never questioned him as to what he meant.

Default Is the increased government surveillance to find terrorists or dissidents?

Dissidents are terrorists under Ratio Decidendi of arbitrary relativism.

Given that of the foiled terrorist attacks over the last decade about 48 were planned by far-right groups, and about 23 were groups sympathetic to Al-Queda, I would think that far-right extremist groups in the U.S. are being monitored.

Someone has been reading talking points.

Yesterday someone listed names to back up what the administration is doing.
I took that first name and it turns out it was an FBI informant who ratted on him and then the FBI set him up and then "captured him" and took credit for thwarting another "act of terror" on Americans.

And we had another post with a link of a Congressman defending what the administration is doing by saying it helped catch the Boston bombers.
Well that's impossible since the bombing took place on 4/15 and the court order was signed on 4/25.

My advice is to NOT take media articles at face value anymore.

And yes, Obama has told us that the War on Terror is now going to concentrate on deranged US Citizens and legal immigrants living in the US.
And this single court order showing the government is getting phone records for 33% of Americans on a daily basis is proof enough.

They got their finger on everything BUT the number of illegals that are living in the US.
Go figure.

What could be truer than that it is the "government of the people" that is enacting the very rules that oppress us.

Big Government that tries to regulate every aspect only encourages the most powerful corporations to lobby for special treatment and "buy" regulations that hurt their competitors. If you want to shrink the marketplace and starve small businesses out of existence, Big Government is the fastest way to do it. In essence,

Big Government emboldens Big Business. Obama's policies, whether meddling in health care or bank regulation are proving this now. The freer the marketplace, the more choice and competition, and the more choice and competition, the greater say we have as consumers. The government can't be the shepherd if the animals are not stymied by bureaucratic do-gooders and overregulation.

Probably dissidents.
(But, it's comforting to know 'Wiretap Wednesdays' will follow the same stringent standards of 'Terror Tuesdays'.
