Sorry for pulling a Godwin's Law but there is no better example of how propaganda and eroding rights got Hitler to power with the backing of the people.
Yesterday someone listed names to back up what the administration is doing. I took that first name and it turns out it was an FBI informant who ratted on him and then the FBI set him up and then "captured him" and took credit for thwarting another "act of terror" on Americans.
And we had another post with a link of a Congressman defending what the administration is doing by saying it helped catch the Boston bombers. Well that's impossible since the bombing took place on 4/15 and the court order was signed on 4/25.
My advice is to NOT take media articles at face value anymore.
And yes, Obama has told us that the War on Terror is now going to concentrate on deranged US Citizens and legal immigrants living in the US. And this single court order showing the government is getting phone records for 33% of Americans on a daily basis is proof enough.

I don't think this has anything to do with terrorists. If this administration and the one before were really concerned with safety they would close the darn border and deport illegal aliens instead of advocating for another amnesty.
This surveillance crap is nothing but tyranny.
You want to fight surveillance and tyranny with deportations en masse. Where would all this information of illegal aliens come from? How would a "deporter" know exactly whom to deport?. It's OK to "violate" presumed aliens and those that might resemble aliens[whatever that is] to make us more free.
Because we all know, We believe the US govenment is incapable of handeling any task on rights and security, when it is to our convience, yet and still are willing to intrust the federal govenment with the task of removing all illegal aliens...all the while...Protecting that American's rights would never be violated in our grand scheme.
That is as logical as... constantly complaining how liberal and 'off the mark' public schools and public education is...and then wanting these same people to be responsible for kids religious upbrining and prayers.

Who knows. This reminds me of the files l keep on citizens under Edgar J Hoover obtain by agents assigned to get it. We still do not know the full extent of use but we know that presidents thru Nixon requested information in them. Where they just curious; not believable. Also justified by protecting the people.
