Does anybody remember that picture of Obama going into his briefing session, and his body language going out? Anyone ever wonder why presidents go gray practically overnight? There's something more going on - this should be obvious. That people think that Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, WHOEVER can unilaterally call the shots on this stuff is ridiculous. They're not really the ones in charge here.
He walked in there saying "Yes We Can" and got told "No You Won't"
When Obama came into this office, he made two commitments that are more important than any other.
1. to keep the American people safe.
2. to uphold the constitution and constitutional rights to privacy and to civil liberties.
What people don't realize is that the Patriot Act gives them the right to break those rules.
Government gave themselves the power to bypass the Constitution.
Now go read up on some other "gray" area powers they gave themselves that we haven't been exposed to yet.
That is what is in our future.

Lol, precisely! I honestly think many presidents walk in with rosy intentions and then get a rude awakening which requires them to back peddle on a lot of things. I'm not making excuses for this, I'm just saying. I think our expectations for what a president can actually do are off.
You do realize that the poor are part of the government plan. Given just enough to survive. You say so yourself, you can't get out of poverty. Why is that, where is all the help Obama claimed or did he feed you a bunch of BS so you would support him. I think the ladder.
The difference is that Obama has supporters that will support him no matter what he does. Obama lies to you and you suck it up.
Obama wants bigger government, why is that, for more control over the American people.

the floor is yours.
Just for starters, it's possible a Republican president may not be bringing our health care into the fray of what is next for the gov't to have access to in our private lives.
So what are you suggesting should be done about it?
I keep hearing from one side that our taxes should be raised. Do you think it's responsible to dole out more money to support Federal programs or should we just all agree to have monitors in our homes and make it cheaper in the long run?
Do you think anyone will wake up over this and think perhaps the Gov't isn't "taking care of us" in a way that is in our own best interest?
Do you think people will start realizing the media isn't being an affective watchdog and may be part of the problem?
I'm curious as to what you think the answers are.
My suggestion is that people start thinking for themselves instead of accepting the spoon-feeding they're getting from Fox and MSNBC. Americans are averse to critical thinking, which is why we are so divided in political philosophy and so preoccupied with right vs. left. This forum is great example of our preoccupation with partisan issues that distract from what continues to happen regardless of which party has control of congress and the White House.
Until Americans can remove the veil, we will continue to have our freedoms invaded.
Well Romney did say Corporations are People. We needed to remove private money from our government if we want it to better reflect the people.
So you're claiming corporations should be tax exempt? Because clearly only people pay taxes..
