The last half of 20th century had it's share of landslide elections, for sure.

But this isn't the 20th century any more. The Democratic party is not the same as it was in the last century, and neither is the Republican party. The maps don't mean squat. They are nothing but artifacts.

The party that looks back over it's shoulder while walking forward is the one that loses.
