Social media, tv, internet...

...Those are the things that got millions of people off their asses and vote for Obama instead of Romney and McCain... (Though both Romney and McCain had several serious campaign blunders)

...So how do you get the sheep to stop being sheep?

There's no way to do that. People are too unintelligent to think for themselves, that's why these campaign ads exist. People will gobble up almost anything like Thanksgiving dinner whether or not it's true. Also, it doesn't help when celebrities publicly take sides. Obviously they have the right to do that, and should, but gullible people will follow celebrities' political affiliation just like they follow their boob jobs.

You can't. Every single liberal who voted for Obama and hypocritical liars. They wanted "transparency," "Hope and Change." Yet they got none of that. In fact, Obama has increased and made programs Bush wouldn't have even touched more disgusting. Yet, every liberal turns a blind eye and looks the other way.

So long as their social security, medicare, welfare, funemployment, and other freebies keep coming, Obummer could molest little children and they would look the other way.

They are all a bunch of prostitutes, who continue to fight over who has the thickest knee pads.

Republicans have done their share of damage to this country too.

Voting for the other party won't all of a sudden fix our problems.

What we need are real leaders and not puppets.

The promise of free stuff they think they have some natural right to. Barnum was right all those years ago.

So using media (social, print, television) to inform people on issues and to remind them to vote is a BAD thing? Reminding people to vote makes them "sheep?" (I'm just surprised you didn't say sheeple--that's the typical right wing nut rant). I think you have your priorities really screwed up. We WANT people to participate in our democracy. That's what keeps it a democracy.

Reminders just get people to the polls--they don't think for people. You said it yourself--McCain and Romney made serious blunders. I think that's a kind way to describe it. They lost because they were bad candidates (in McCain's case, he had a nutty VP that scared people--I actually like John McCain) and they ran bad campaigns--not because someone texted reminders to vote for Obama.

I still say you should have to pass a civics test in order to vote... An ignorant vote is worse than a non vote. Ignorance doesn't have a party affiliation.

Wow you sound bitter and hateful...I hope you can fin happiness. Maybe somewhere outside the US could better serve your needs.

There will always be liberals that vote democrat no matter what an conservatives that vote republican no matter the case. The trick is to get the people that think for themselves.

Now that more people vote, we are seeing the truer opinion of America. Dems have won the popular vote 5 out of the last 6 presidential races. For some, the Republican Party just can't keep up. I really don't see this changing - it feels like an antiquated party. Maybe not, you never know.

Good luck to you in finding ways to be happy.

Thanks!

I think that people on welfare should have to give up their right to vote while on welfare. Human nature is such that some people will continuously vote for whomever offers them the most "stuff"!

The sheeple that are so gung ho about their party that they vote without any regard to what they're voting for are a lost cause.

People that continue to vote Democrat or Republican are obviously a lost cause!
