Just a little fun fact, on the anniversary of the cowardly attack by Israel on the USS Liberty. According to stats kept by the Organization of Economically Developed Nations, Israel is near dead last in rates of charitable giving, both as a nation, internationally, and as individual citizens, internally:

Israel ranks low in international giving - latimes.com

They're pretty good at TAKING, though

The LA Times needs to do a better job of its fact checking:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2010/sep/08/charitable-giving-country#data

http://chartsbin.com/view/vfp

Israel gave around 51% to financial charities, compared to the US who gave 60%.

So is this going to be another Israel bashing thread or a Charitable giving thread?

I just can't wait to see your posts of the anniversary of the US barracks bombing in Lebanon or the USS Cole bombing in Yemen.

When governments give their taxpayers money away, it is no longer considered charitible giving.
Anyway who cares what they do over there, every household should have the freedom to do what it thinks is best and our own government should stop all foreign aid immediately.

I'd say that its actually time we aid our allies and stop giving aid to those who are clearly out enemies. that isn't Israel.

I do not believe this to be true one bit considering Israeli NGO's are all through out the world helping victims in many disasters. But ofcourse this fits the I hate Israel narrative so I'll play. But ofcourse, Israel has unlimited funds to give to people who vote against her in the UN. Well anyway, this article is crap so end of this thread.

I'd say it's time we aid ourselves and focus on our own problems.
