California has been trying to segregate the state for years due to the fact that the northern state is held hostage to the idiots in the rest of it.

We get the same idea here in Northern Virginia occasionally. If North Colorado would ever happen, then Northern VA would be next. They would also cancel each other out, since NoVA is very liberal compared to the rest of the state.

It will never happen because it is near impossible to separate the state's funds. Much of what you see being built in rural areas comes from the money in the cities and there isn't really any strong city to support the northern end of California....though I do agree when California was being settled, it should been divided into two or three states.
