There is some concern though but the experts tell us not to worry..80% are wounded women and children.

Now the big question..do they get in front of the illegals waiting on amnesty or behind them ?
Rice and Powers are big advocates of the refugees and may have swaying power.

And why do we tell refugees that cars are not provided to them ?
Is there some kind of urban legend circulating in these countries that we give away cars ?

U.S. considers taking in Syrian refugees - latimes.com
A resettlement plan under discussion in Washington and other capitals is aimed at relieving pressure on Middle Eastern countries straining to support 1.6 million refugees, as well as assisting hard-hit Syrian families.
..
According to a State Department publication aimed at refugees, "Cars are not provided.... Most Americans value self-reliance and hard work. They expect newcomers to find jobs as soon as possible and to take care of themselves and their families."

Are those Syrian refuges Christians? If they aren't, we do not need them in the US.

Our government is insane.

How many millions upon millions of third world hordes are we going to allow in this country when we don't even have enough good jobs and resources for our own people and the social welfare system is taxed enough already.

Completely nuts. I could see if this was 17-1800's America with tons of resources and untapped fertile land but it's not. It's 2013, the health system and every other social welfare system is working at maximum capacity and we have a huge under and unemployment problem as seen by the LPR among other things. And all our government wants to do is give amnesty and asylum to 10's of millions of people who can't even speak the language so how in the world can they find employment and contribute. They'll just be a further strain on a weak economy.

Nuts.

A nation never needs refugees.

Thousands of children fleeing the horrors of wars and conflicts worldwide [now and in the past] were not needed here. Fleeing Starvation. Fleeing persecution, disease, hunger, misery...Are never needed.

We dont need any of them.

Correct and they have neighboring countries who understand their culture far better than we do. Allow the neighbors to be good neighbors.

I think refugees should be temporarily resettled as close to home as possible. Then the mess should be cleaned up and they should return home.

Yeah... the US realllllly doesn't need anymore refugees to take care of. A bunch of new folks looking for work isn't in the best interest of Americans.

If there is a profit to be made it may just happen.

It happened with Iraq. We took in the refugees and continue to do so today since restrictions were lifted in 2007. From 2007-2011 we took in over 60,000 refugees. Can't find a current or total count though.

I don't see why the same won't be done for other countries.
