How long did the conservative groups have to wait versus the liberal? How many more conservative groups applied versus liberal? I thought the reason they "had" to look at trigger words was because there were waaaay more conservative groups applying than liberal.

Taranto notes that a couple of lefty pundits have already called the investigations of the IRS a lynching. He goes on to present his theory on what this scandal really means in terms of US political history going back to around 1964. I think he's spot on.
