The total Police State is upon us folks.

Miami-Dade Police Choke Black Teenager Because He Was Giving Them "Dehumanizing Stares" - Miami - News - Riptide 2.0

Fourteen-year-old Tremaine McMillian didn't threaten police. He didn't attack them. He wasn't armed. All the black teenager did was appear threatening by shooting Miami-Dade police officers a few "dehumanizing stares," and that was apparently enough for the officers to decide to slam him against the ground and put him in a chokehold.

During Memorial Day weekend, McMillian was rough-housing with another teenager on the sand. Police approached the teen on an ATV and told him that wasn't acceptable behavior. They asked him where his parents were, but MicMillian attempted to walk away. The officer jumped off the ATV, and tried to physically restrain the teen. According to CBS Miami, police say the 14-year-old kid gave them "'dehumanizing stares,' clenched his fists and appeared threatening."

He's lucky he wasn't carrying a can of ice tea, else they likely would have shot him for holding a possible lethal projectile.

No, this is why:

Teen Says Police Overreacted To Incident « CBS Miami

Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta told D’Oench it was just after 11:00 am on Memorial Day on Haulover Beach when officers saw McMillian slamming another teenager on to the sand.

“They told him that behavior was unacceptable,” said Zabaleta. “He walked away and officers followed him. They asked where his parents were. He said he was not going to take them to them. When he started to leave the beach area, officers had to get off their ATVs to detain him. He had closed arms, clenched fists and pulled his arm away.”

“Once he was approaching the road, the officers restrained him. Again his body language was that he was stiffening up and pulling away,” said Zabaleta. “Now you’re resisting officers at that point and when the hands are swinging and you are resisting officers, at that point you have to be taken into custody.”

And, then, there's this:

McMillian was charged with resisting arrest with violence, a felony, and disorderly conduct. Miami-Dade Police said he had been arrested once before for robbery.

The description of what occurred is conflicting, but the whole thing is suspect and unacceptable.
A group of armed trained men feeling the need to treat a 14yr old this way is nuts.

Indeed. Power hungry thugs who want nothing but control of the masses. And they are told every day by their superiors to do this.

It really depends on what he did...horsing around with another person or slamming them to the ground.

Kid slams kid to the ground = no problem

Police slam kid to the ground for slamming other kid to the ground = BIG PROBLEM

????

That's how it goes?

Well the LEO's really didn't want to take the time to find out did they. I agree, with you. But it appears that they were just doing what kids do. Hell we used to get into fights with each other when we were bored stiff just for the heck of it. But that was before the "Police State" was implemented.

If they were horsing around there would have, without a doubt, been coverage of the other kid absolving the teen that was restrained by the police.

Because it would have made for a MUCH more sensationalized story.

Folks are getting too sensitive wtf is a dehumanizing stare? Kind of like the Aussie guy whose soul was crushed because a 13 yo made gorilla sounds at him.
