The hardware was even made public in 2006.

I hate to say it, but I told you so. I said he went to China to because he is going to give, or sell them classified CIA information, and I was right.
Lie after lie you defend Obama even with evidence of his lies in front of your nose, selling your soul to get Obamacare and other freebies that you still wait for. Every time you debated you pointed to Bush saying Bush did it as if it gave Obama a pass (like a 2 year old). It is funny you are defending George W Obama. When will you admit you were wrong about our "most transparent president" in history?

NSA leaker Edward Snowden: U.S. targets China with hackers - The Washington Post

HONG KONG — Edward Snowden, the self-confessed leaker of secret surveillance documents, claimed Wednesday that the United States has mounted massive hacking operations against hundreds of Chinese targets since 2009.

The former contractor, whose work at the National Security Agency gave him access to highly classified U.S. intelligence, made the assertions in an interview with the South China Morning Post. The newspaper said he showed it “unverified documents” describing an extensive U.S. campaign to obtain information from computers in Hong Kong and mainland China.

“We hack network backbones — like huge Internet routers, basically — that give us access to the communications of hundreds of thousands of computers without having to hack every single one,” he told the newspaper.

According to Snowden, the NSA has engaged in more than 61,000 hacking operations worldwide, including hundreds aimed at Chinese targets. Among the targets were universities, businesses and public officials
Funny.

You supported Pvt. Manning.

How did this morph from spying on terrorists to spying on Americans to spying on the Chinese ?

Hacking the backbone, which we were made aware of in 2006, means they get everything from everybody everywhere.
They think "hacking" is Mathew Broderick getting a password and tapping into the WOPR to play a game. lol

EVERYONE is being spied on by the Obama admin.

Like you said, this is an attempt from the Left to try and defend the Obama administration. NOTHING secret was revealed in what he said, it was a well known fact that the Chinese were being hacked since they hack us on a regular basis. I don't think anyone in China is losing sleep over this.

People can figure things out. They are not stupid. If you tell them we are spying on universities, businesses and public officials, it gives them stuff to work on, and it may lead to them arresting US officials. We don't know what else he is giving them, it may well be names. He had access to highly classified U.S. intelligence and now he is in China singing like a canary. How can you defend that??

Hey, c'mon, somebody has to teach those Chinese how to make decent American stir fried burgers!

He's not hiding, he's on vacation.

One doesn't need to be appointed to meet with foreign leaders. That is a citizens right, which is why there was no prosecution of Kerry by the, shall we say, less than magnanimous Nixon administration.

You think that is fine but some clown saying oh hell the NSA hacks China is a national threat? I say no sheet. They say the same thing.
Yes in your warped world there is no difference between releasing secret/confidential information that you are statutorily prohibited from revealing and meeting with a foreign delegation. Got it. .

I thought Bin Laden the number one "threat" was killed by the great leader? How are we in such trouble now? Fact is our government thinks WE are the threat now. That is a HUGE problem. You just can't see it and will trade your liberty for false safety. What will you do when YOU are the one they deem a threat? I guess it will be too late then. It will happen though if this continues on how it's going.
So your solution is to blab our country's national security classified information to other countries?
