Both of them are idiots. But that's what the American people like these days. I would not waste any of my time watching or listening to either of them.
I have long objected to the use of "retarded" here on CD, as in "retarded" ideas, laws, etc. Both liberals and conservatives have disagreed with me and in some cases mocked me for that. There is no way I can defend Bill Maher if he said that. However, Sarah herself said it was OK for Rush Limbaugh to use the word.
So true. The terrible comments I have seen conservatives make about the Obama children. We don't even know what Maher actually said and they are up in arms.
For decades the use of the word "retarded" was acceptable. Just because somebody decides that they don't like a term any longer, all of a sudden that is supposed to dictate to the rest of the universe how we should speak. Now that having been said, the TONE that it is used, and whether it is used to hurt, is the issue, not the word. If he meant to cause pain, regardless of the word he used, then he needs to apologize for that act. Not the word. I consider her kid retarded, but I don't mean that in a hurtful or malicious way. As a card carrying Republican, I would think that Sarah would be against political correctness, and perhaps she is. I liked her use of "lily white a**" although, it would have been more impressive coming from a big black woman. LOL

Rush wasn't referring to any child or person when he said 'Retarded'......really nothing to compare. Retarded is just a word, it's those over sensitive people that say it's a "bad" word. It's all in the matter in which one uses the word that would make it offensive.
