This would have been a more worthwhile intervention than Iraq or Afghanistan, unfortunately the less than 1% of US residents that have been involved in war for 10 years have had enough. Assad is exterminating his people by every means possible, traditional, chemical, and killing innocent children. The war is spilling over into other countries and is about to blow up whether we want to take action or not. The least we should do is supply arms to the opposition to make it a fair fight, Russia has already supplied Syria ground to air technology.

Egypt is a non-major ally of the US/NATO therefore they are considered an ally on official or legal terms but really we're only allies to provide them military aid for proxy wars. Think about it, we group Israel and Egypt into the same category in regards to our alliance, but Egpyt and Israel aren't allies; we won't fight for Egpyt but we will fight for Israel.

France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Jordan, Lebanon. To name a few.
Why was Bosnia, Sudan, Vietnam, Kosovo, Iraq2, Korea or any other country since WW2 our problem?

Maybe Iraq 1. They woulda controlled too much of the world's oil supply with Kuwait. Other than that?

Why should the US care whether it is a fair fight or not? Americans need to learn to quit trying to pick the winners and losers in these types of squabbles. If the rebels can't win the fight on their own, perhaps they shouldn't have started it.

Why would anyone in their right mind want to get the United States involved in a proxy war with Russia?

Sweet, more carrying out of cannibalistic terrorist causes by the US. It's no wonder the world loves and respects us so much.

Bush did it... whah? huh? But we do need a good diversion from all our fed scandals right now. War, anyone?
Program, get your program. You can't tell who is killing who and who the bad guy is over there without a program.

I hate to sound like a conspiracy-but, but we're only there because of Israel; Israel is well-armed for this war but instead of fighting it themselves, we'll do it for them. Israel has already attacked Syria which automatically means we attack them as well. It's only fair for Russia to send anti-aircraft missiles to Syria considering Israel is already attacking. Preferably, I'd prefer Russia nor America to provide aid to Israel or Syria because at the end of the day, the weapons we both give them will be used on both of us.

It's a bad, bad world we live in. We are not the world's policeman. We absolutely MUST stop this kind of thinking. Whatever happens there is not going to spill over here. Our freedom is not threatened. We are not in danger. Let it go.

Are we the only consumer of oil? Do we even do business with Syria?
What we are not is the worlds police force. Bosnia was none of our business nor was Kosovo. It could be argued that Kuwait was an ally and so was Saudi Arabia. Syria is not an ally.
Korea? Cold war thinking and this isnt 1952.
WWII became our problem when close allies were attacked and finally we were attacked.
Has Syria attacked us?
My point is we are flat busted broke. We can't afford the role as world cop. Quite honestly we would save a mint by minding our own business in these civil wars.
