White House: Syria crosses 'red line' with use of chemical weapons - CNN.com

White House officially states that Syria has crossed the red line. Beautiful, isn't it? We need more war because ending the war in Iraq made us need another war. So yay for Democracy! We need to install Democracy everywhere...

Saw that. It is just sickening. When will we learn? I hope Obama is reading the polls on this - less than 20% of the US thinks we should have any involvement there. I'll bet his is listening to the defense contractors, though.

It's bound to happen. Obama has Susan Rice as National Security Advisor and Susan Powers in the UN and they are both interventionists who also happen to dislike Israel, especially Susan Powers.

Obama really is turning into Bush-lite.

Very scary situation... do we give more weapons to the rebels who may be partially infiltrated by terrorist groups, or do we do nothing and let the chemical weapons fall into terrorist hands as the country destabilizes further?

Why is Syria our problem?
In the region much closer than the United States.
France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Jordan, Lebanon. To name a few.

I vote for nothing, this is not a fight the United States should be involved in.

I couldn't agree more. This is not our fight. I made this point in another post...China is the top importer of oil now from the Mid East...let them spend their own capital protecting their own interests. These people will never like us no matter what we do, so let's stay out.

Yep, just like Libya. Their battle, but some how they couldn't get it done with out to a US carrier parked close by.
Do we have the only capable military in the world. Apparently!
