Don't vote for Obama's "sister" Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush or...you know, any lawyer.

That's the thing about many politicians. They are either sleazy lawyers, or sleazy business men.

...or a politician.

I sooner vote for a used car salesman than 99% of what's in DC now.

That"s why I did not vote last election. Could not stomach voting for either Obama or Romney.

I think every pol who heads to DC is being blackmailed by the info collected by our vast intelligence system. They're corrupted within days of their arrival and are totally controlled. If they fail to cooperate, or they offend someone higher up on the food chain, they are publically humiliated and forced to resign by exposing their stupidity.

Remember Elliot Spitzer - you know, the guy with the standing and the will to prosecute bankers?

Remember that idiot Weiner and his wiener pictures? He pissed someone off.

Controlled by whom?
Corporations?

My guess it's the billionaire backers of presidential candidates and their little puppet presidents. It's not a single billionaire, it's a group of them who coalesce around a guy they think is electable and controllable.

Do you really think Obama is using the NSA data being collected on all citizens for anti-terrorism purposes?

His motives are political.

I think that way too, but I also think that people should have the goodness in them to say no to orders.

Very little.

Both Obama and Bush have pandered to the dependent class by providing massive governmental "treats" in exchange for votes.

With a much larger dependent population (and "immigration reform" set to deliver 20 million more), there is little hope that any POTUS will adopt policy for the long term benefit of the nation, as they will "buy" votes with entitlements.

No rational, pragmatic, and honest man could be elected, as Americans would have to face some harsh realities.
