So the US has proof ?

The UN doesn't and the UN doesn't know which side used the chemicals.
The UN does not accept tests from other countries. The UN wants to go in themselves and physically get their own samplings and do their own testing.

Sounds like Iraq and their WMDs all over again doesn't it ?

The rebels (which comprise of al-Qaeda and other sharia advocate extremists) used chemical weapons first.

Im really glad we continue to support fringe radical groups to overthrow non-US friendly dictators, as if the past 40 years haven't taught us jack ****.

There is no proof.
Follow what the UN says, not France, US or UK.
These are the 3 that are chomping at the bit to invade ME countries.

The UN has not gone in and taken samples to test.
The UN has not determined which side used the chemicals if the samples prove to be true.
The UN has said that either side is equally capable of doing this.

And Syria is leery of the UN coming in because no matter how many times the UN went to Iraq and found nothing the US and other countries were insistent the WMDs did exist and they had proof.

And the stories about chemical weapons being used in Libya, insisted by the US, completely dropped off the radar.

Funny how DoD couldn't find money to stop their civilian employees from being laid off, but they have money for this.

I believe it was Britain that already did a study and found that the rebels were using gas, not the government.

It's not our freaking business.

Another colossal unnecessary waste of money by the American government. What else is new?
