Exactly lets bring them all to US soil. We can apologize for treating them badly just for killing innocent people. We can give them a new life as a liberal. Free housing, right to vote, free health care, food stamps. Then they can join the PTA.

The ones who were "enemy combatants" have to be released sometime. Logically, this would be when troops are finally withdrawn from Afghanistan. You can't imprison enemy combatants after a war has ended. Thank God there might be some limit to this madness.

He clearly wasn't trying very hard during the years when he had the numbers to control whatever he wanted to. Again, your entire argument is a FAILURE just like your weak attempt at an insult. Quit defending these spineless fools, it just makes you one of them.

More lies. Somehow I'm just totally not impressed. What a surprise.
Despite the fact that many prisoners at Guantanamo have never been prosecuted because there IS no evidence against them, or because they were tortured into confessing, which makes their testimony inadmissable in court, the "small government, fiscally prudent" Republicans in the House voted down an amendment that might have accelerated transfer or release of inmates from Guantanamo.
Currently, the government spends $1.6 million per prisoner per year at Guantanamo, and there are 90 prisoners there. If they were transferred to federal prisons it would cost $34,000 per prisoner, but on Friday June 14th the "small government" Republicans voted to not transfer the inmates to federal prisons on American soil.
Many of those prisoners are such bad actors, their own countries have refused to accept them back, because they are so dangerous.
Ask 0bama why he is not cycling these prisoners thru the military tribunals.

Do you not comprehend the difference between a lie and failing to get something done because someone else stopped you (Democrats also went along with blocking closure, 90 - 6 in the senate...).
