Cheney is a (fill in many different 4 letter words here)

9-11 could have been stopped if the government had simply listened to the people warning them that something wasn't right.

Which is the ironic part, the Bush administration had ample warnings, but choose to ignore them. More info would not have made a difference, but that's not the topic of the thread.

In a way it is. There are many things the government can do to address terrorism that does not include stripping rights away from citizens.

When the government was told that there was these guys taking flying lessons but skipping out on the landing part they could have taken actions that would not have harmed a single right of the citizens.
