I'm sorry, I lost track of what you're trying to say many posts ago. I was responding to another poster.

Adding more crap to an ever growing list of constitutional abuses is not the proper course of action to get things back to where they should be.

Well, adaquetely educating our children is not "more crap". Our and their future depend on it, no matter how corrupt and terrible our Government and institutions stand today.

Considering moving to "fly-over country" where us poor ignorant rednecks miraculously manage to have some of the best public school systems in the country.

The problems you are seeing are IMO related to local and state government decisions and is not a concerted diabolical plan.

The public school system my kids attend isn't going anywhere and is the reason many people choose to live in the area. 15 miles away in another city and state....their school system is crap.

You gotta live with the decisions your school boards have made over the years.
You can do the migration to better areas and leave Philly to become another Detroit.

Is Philly headed down the same path as Detroit ?

I don't have children and at this point honestly don't plan on it, but yes I eventually plan on obtaining a permanant residence out of the country when my funds allow it.

Check out the state of the educational system in this country today.

Total crap is a very appropriate descriptor.

It is despite people praising the rising the number of people moving into center city.
These people moving in are people that are un-married with no kids.

No, Philly has reversed it's decline in about 2005 and growth has been continuous since.

North Philadelphia is another story and possibly the largest deindustrialzed area in the country and will have many many years to go before it starts to improve.
