I really don't understand the outrage, if you're not doing anything illegal then who cares if you're being monitored. I believe a recent poll showed that most Americans did not mind either which shows they're willing to let it happen if it keeps them safe.

it is none of the feds business to look into my emails or into my private life without probable cause.

If you're not doing anything illegal they won't monitor you.
If we really all are being monitored every drug dealer in the country would be in jail by now....
