Help me out here. I think you directed me to some dubious two spirit ceremony of obscure tribes. Of course nothing was written about them until recently.

Homosexuality has no sanction in the annals if man that's the truth ignore it if you wish.

The New Testaments condemns gays too btw.

Where is the church condemnation of re marriage? That is a huge no no in both the old and new testament.
What about divorce? Unlike homosexuality Jesus actually had something to say about divorce.

In fact, many countries (including the US) have granted political asylum to gay refugees fleeing anti-gay persecution in their homelands.

Canada is in the West. Countries that haven't grown arrogant due to their wealth are opposed to gay marriage.

This paper has numerous examples of same sex marriage including references. If you choose to remain ignorant of world history that is your problem.

Divorce isn't good. Most religions make it very difficult to obtain one. However the state started this no fault divorce stuff so legally folks can get it.

We've already established the author that these papers cite was a gay professor whose work was later discredited.

Qatar, the UAE, Brunei, and certain other countries are extremely wealthy but also vehemently anti-gay.

Apparently you believe the tolerant Norwegians are somehow more "arrogant" than the gay-hating Qataris.

Religion has nothing to do with a legal divorce. You don;t need your churches permission to go to the court and get a divorce. Just like you don;t need your churches permission to go to city hall and get married.

Church marriage is not the same thing as a legal marriage.
