Not necessarily closet conservatives, but there is often some characteristic projected onto others by those who are irrational and vitriolic, whether they are left, right, or center. For instance, those who answer any allegation of corruption or dishonesty in government, however modest the claim may be, with the epithet "conspiracy theory" are frequently given to conspiratorial views themselves, e.g. Hillary Clinton's "vast right wing conspiracy", etc.
Projection is a very real and well-attested psychological defense mechanism.

There are sick, twisted, people in every group.
But honestly, saying that antis are more likely to be pedophiles is no more correct than them saying that homosexuals are more likely to be pedophiles.
Do you understand what self-deception is and how it works? If so, how do you propose one would get you to abandon a vacuous position you publicly invested in? Answer: It can't be done. I have never seen such a reversal happen on C-D after someone has so boldly posted some self-deception like that.

I hold no self-deception. I call it the way I see it. If you don't like it, you're free not to read or respond to my posts. Furthermore, you may want to harp on the OP for his ASSumption that anti-gays are secretly pedophiles! That is absolutely ridiculous, and you know it!
If you're so certain then why did you ask for an explanation of why you were not?
