Dr. King faced the same fate anyone who educates and empowers the people does.

You have to remember, when people become educated to the point where they can govern themselves, government becomes irrelevant and all government becomes tyranny. The end result is either complete slavery or complete freedom.

Can you even prove he was a communist sympathizer? And he cheated on his wife. Alot of politicians have cheated on their wives. I'm not saying it was right. I'm saying "why should Dr. King stick out and be held to stricter scrutiny"?

Al Sharpton of his day? Are you kidding? Dr. King was willing to die for his cause. Black people were being treated like crap in the USA in his day. He went after real issues and lead non-violent protests. He was willing to go to prison over and over, he was willing to die. And that stuff would not have happened if he had not done something. It took watching people get blasted with fire hoses for JFK to do something about the way Blacks were being treated in this nation. Change would not have happened, or as fast, if someone didn't step in and do something to empower people.

And you might want to check your sources next time.

Dr. King was willing to die for his cause. He was the type of person who couldn't be bought. That is why he got killed. No one could buy him off.

Funny. You hear people on here claiming all the time that protests are "silly."
One thing to remember. It took protests for change to occur. Dr. King was even willing to put his life on the line for change to occur.

The questions were a lot tougher back then. David Gregory really is not a good person to be hosting MTP. I also like how King and the head of the NAACP conducted themselves in the light of some offensive questions about violence.
