Intelligent Readers Beware, this is not a racist thread.

There's been many claims by posters and by some in public that crime in this country is due to race. This thread's only intention is to dispel that notion...
While we're at it, I think we also need to dispel the notion that men are taller than women. After all, WNBA players are taller than most men.

Thus, the myth of male height superiority is disproved.

And, not to make this into a seasonist thread, but the idea that temperature is about season does not hold up to scrutiny either.

Quote:
Bellingham, Wash., for example, saw a high of 60 in the first week of the
year, while the mercury soared to a balmy 44 in Fargo, 61 in New York City, 72
in parts of Colorado and 79 in Tucson.
This Winter's Weirdly Warm Weather Explained : Discovery News : Discovery News

These January numbers, higher than normal for April, prove that there is no correlation between season and temperature.

The stats are stupid when they don't fit YOUR agenda.

Ok I get it.

In the 1930's when it was Italians and Irish were the murder rates any better??

Where do you think Chicago get's "Gangster City" from?

What can be done to solve our crime issues? I won't even begin the thread with an agenda.

Kentucky Murder Rate | Kentucky homicide rates outdo those of major cities - Baltimore Sun

In addition to Eastern KY, Western KY has had some violent times as well. Little Chicago had murder rates in the 60's with rates of over 50 per 100,000.

What are the real reasons we have such high murder rates in this country? What can we do to solve the issue?
Whoa scraping the bottom of the barrel there with a 20 year old article to prove a point.

When we try to solve social problems we have to remove race from the equation it is just a distraction IMO. Those mountain areas and inner cities have a lot in common which make them unsuitable places for healthy communities to thrive.
