Hip Hop instead of homework?

The funny thing is all these rough neighborhoods have no shortage of fancy cars like the Cadillac, Mercedes, and Lexus.

values priorities and deferred gratification.
what is important to me, is utterly absurd to my broke, broken down, wreck of a kid brother who has had alot more high priced R&R than me but not much to show for it.

I'm sure that it has been addressed previously in this thread but DUH it is because of the enslavement, subjugation, and oppressiveness forced upon black Americans in this country from its inception through the mid 1960s (my mom's generation). It is furthered by an inherently racist justice system and a lacking educational and medical care system.

That was a very simple answer to a question that would not need to be asked if we had adequate education in this country that included basic American history.

Back in the real world, black kids and adults in Philadelphia and Chicago are protesting school closings - Particularly in Philly, where the state government is spending $400,000,000 on a new prison, but insisting that it must cut school budgets.

And yet again, black teens are actually *more* likely to state that high education is the key to success than any other group - particularly black teen girls. So things are vastly more complicated than you think.

This reminds me of the folks who whined "Why don't black people ever protest black-on-black crime?" in the wake of the protests over the Trayvon martin Killing. They don't seem to have noticed the decades of widespread and highly visible protests against crime in black communities.

Poverty breeds crime because poverty breeds just about everything bad that you can name - ill health, mental illness, desperation, living in dangerous physical environments, etc. The fact that you don't know this, is definitely alarming.

I guess that you also have not noticed that many of them are older modeels that are usually found in auctions.
