To bad she didn't show up and ask Matt if he ever said the word when he was in maybe middle school.
Well, he probably did...lots of people do lots of things that, if made public, would ruin their careers. But not everyone's skeletons are made public. When they are, it usually results in a fall from grace. Paula's were made public. Happens all the time, this is nothing new.
Very strange how many people are claiming those of us who have never said the word are lying. I grew up in the deep South and had a cross burned on my lawn when I was a kid in the 90s because my family were seen as Jewish carpetbaggers. I would NEVER say that word. When other people say it, I can palpably feel my heart beat increase. Plenty of people used the word around me growing up, but that doesn't make it any more OK, nor did it ever make me think there was any excuse to use it.
My parents raised me right - sorry if those of you protesting didn't have the same experience.
Paula Deen has been on the outs for a long time. The Food Network is a business and can't fight public opinion.
Poor woman. She just can't get over the civil war. Her poor great granddaddy shot himself because he lost his 30 slaves.
He just couldn't bring himself to pay his workers to run the plantation.
Typical Republican I would say.
