Yes it is. which is why abortions after 22 weeks in this country can only be performed under VERY restrictive circumstances (ie the baby to be is born with health defects like an open skull).

Other than it, its illegal.

Why are you bringing information to this thread? These types of threads are NEVER about sharing information, about being rational, or about the reality of the situation. These threads are about irrational emotions and are only created to sling mud.

You should have taken a clue from the title where it says "pro-death liberals."

Hmmm, rationality and reality vs dingbat orthodoxy. What a concept.

And yet it does happen for as little a birth defect as a cleft palate. I speak of the partial birth abortions.
It is a woman's choice. I support her choice. It is she who lives with the choice. I don't judge her because her body quite frankly is absolutely none of my business. I have even changed my position on tax dollars paying for it.
Where I feel we need more oversight is in the area of the partial birth abortion. I feel this because of how cruel the procedure is to the baby. If you did it to a dog you would be arrested on the spot.

If the hospital is private and not government funded it should be free to make whatever decision they want when it comes to elective procedures.
Just as women should be free to make whatever decision they want as to legal abortion.

The pro-abortion people are alive during those protests - the babies who they kill never have a chance, similar to Fezzik not intentionally missing with his rock.

The pro-abortion people do not act in a sportsmanlike manner - they simply say "I could kill you now"- and then they do.

The babies have no way of saying or doing the equivalent of "do you mean that you will set down your rock and I will set down my sword and we will try to kill each other like civilized people".

Well, I for one, am not holding my breath...

It's been "discussed" ad nauseam and always comes down to emotions because one side has a very emotional investment into an issue that is, ultimately, conceptually idealized.

When that stance clashes with a more objective perspective on this issue that takes reality, enforceability, and logic into a account to a larger degree, you WILL be forced to argue on ground level because that is essentially the only common denominator.

Add to this the varying degrees of absolutism that this issue brings up, and you are really in trouble.

You can readily see this from the posts in this thread: Many tend to talk about emotional issues or make statements that are aimed at eliciting an emotional response.

This is often countered with responses that address the reality of the situation by referring to the law, logic, and science. Emotion seems only to enter as a response to statements by the opposing group.

And there you have it: At some point, it's all about slinging insults.

Certainly. The con position is that ex-utero Americans should pull themselves up by their bootstraps. The end.
