very true but it's larger than that. less hiring and when they do hire its like this: so much talk about millions of jobs created during this administration but no description of the jobs. let me help, temp & contract work without benefits and very low pay.

Wow the stupid here just amazes.

Why whenever it is brought up how terrible Obama is all that is ever brought up is how bad a person with a "R" is?
That's the immediate reaction of an Obamabot. They're stupid and they're brainwashed.

I mean, look at what happened when Bernanke said that the Fed is going (or thinking) of slowing QE down. Dow takes a significant hit. If that's not the typical American bedwetting, then I don't know what is.
The money printing is the only thing holding up the economy. It's what pays for the Obama deficits. Do you imagine O could sell his $1T+ annual deficit on the free market at the current rate of interest? Call the printing what it is: an affirmative action presidency.

Obamacare Causing Nearly Half Of Small Businesses To Freeze Hiring: Poll
Biggest scam in American history, bar none. My doctor even said that he expects one-third of all hospitals in America will eventually shut down because of this law. It's no surprise that more businesses are struggling --- and will struggle --- in implementing this stupid plan, which is only going to burden Americans, not help them.

Obamacare Causing Nearly Half Of Small Businesses To Freeze Hiring: Poll
That poll is baloney and I will tell you why. Businesses (in this survey small business is anything with less than $20 million in sales) stopped hiring in 2008, long before Obama was elected. The economy was losing hundreds of thousands of jobs per month and it had nothing nothing to due with Obamacare, which wasn't even a proposal yet. Moreover, small businesses, those with less than 50 employees, are exempt from Obamacare.

Also, while those polled say they weren't hiring, they really were. That's far more than they did in any month in 2008 before President Obama became President Obama. The reason businesses aren't hiring to pre-Great-Recession levels is simply due to the fact that sales are slow and businesses are managing on the employees they already have.

According data from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) contradicts this poll. (see page 10, employment.)

Hospitals have already been shutting down before this program even started. Why? Under the old plan there was no way to collect from deadbeats who didn't pay their bills. Once there isn't enough paying patients to balance out the deadbeats and keep them in the green, the hospital goes underwater. This is why now if one go into the hospital one now gets multiple bills after the visit due to the fact the hospital outsourced to subcontractors parts of this business. So now under the new plan, even though the payout per patient will be less all the patients will be paid for. No deadbeats equals more money and less write-offs. Now where will there really be a loss in jobs? Collection agencies.

All Obamacare does is show Obama is in the pockets of insurance companies. He made it so you either buy insurance or you get fined by the IRS. I cant believe people are so stupid and anti republican corporate whatever on the other left and dont see this. Are you blind ? All that I saw was an $80 increase in my healthcare that I cant afford to use.

If Obama cared about the people wed have nationalised healthcare and insurance with 3rd party companies would be an option like Europe but then wed have idiots on the right crying about death panels that don't exist. I mean, insurance companies never tell you they arent going to cover something do they ? :/

Obama is nothing more than elitist who is in corporate pockets, just like the president before him.

I guess that the headline of this thread could have been:

59% of small businesses are hiring!

To be fair, Obama started off wanting a public option but it was not politically possible to get a public option passed. As it was, the vote was close on the eventual plan, with not a single Republican voted for it - even though it was their idea 25 years ago. They already call Obama a Socialist, can you imagine what the right-wing would have called him if he advocated national healthcare? As long as we have a enough conservative Republicans in the Senate, who can block legislation, there isn't a chance of national healthcare. That's just reality.

The essence of Obamacare, (as Romneycare) is a three-legged stool of regulation and subsidies: community rating requiring insurers to make the same policies available to everyone regardless of health status; an individual mandate, requiring everyone to purchase insurance, so that healthy people don’t opt out; and subsidies to keep insurance affordable for those with lower incomes.

The original right-wing Heritage Foundation plan from 1989 had all these features.

These days, the Heritage Foundation strives mightily to deny the obvious; it picks at essentially minor differences between what it used to advocate and the plan Democrats actually passed, and tries to make them seem like a big deal. But this is disinformation. The essential features of the Obamacare, above all, the mandate are ideas Republicans used to support.
