I appreciate you service to our country. And my father was a Marine combat veteran of Vietnam.
But unlike your feeling. My father felt that even though John Kerry was no prize. He absolutely hated Bush for his cowardice, on avoiding joining the regular service Vietnam war. And thought that bush should have been thrown in the sea for that "Mission accomplish" stunt. He hates bush even more now for putting our boys in the same situation he was put in in 1966-67.
BTW he thought Clinton was a draft dodging coward to.

That's fine, but any suggestion that it could possibly be worse, is downright idiotic.

And as far as having sympathy, I have sympathy for people with cancer, widows, orphans and veterans who are physically or mentally disabled from battle. People like that deserve sympathy.

People who were here during the first administration, and still voted for him the second time around deserve no such sympathy. Instead they deserve to have their heads examined-or maybe they should repent.

First of all,
The reason why he won is because people are more loyal to their political parties and their preferred cable news network and their preferred radio talk show host then they are to whats in the common best interest of the United States. This goes both ways, libs and cons are the same, but you know what, IN 2004, THE LIBERALS WERE CORRECT, most conservatives saw that George W Bush abandoned even their core values-but they STILL voted for him, even though the differences in political issues btwn he and Kerry for the most part were few.

Back during the recall of Gray Davis, I didnt vote for Arnold Schwarzennager because I thought the recall was a waste of money-being a democrat, I felt that Gray Davis was doing a good job. But after Arnold decided to run for re-election, I felt that he'd done a good job and decided to vote for him even though I think he's the first republican Ive ever voted for. It was quite liberating to cross party lines and do what I felt was best for my state putting my own bias aside.

I fear that too many of us not as openminded-more importantly, that we are so hellbent on winning one for our color(red or blue, almost like crips and bloods if I do say so myself), that we arent so interested in what's best for America.

And that's a damn shame.

Spunky 1, why do you bother with seditionists? These people would rather be in power and preside over a socialist state under which they could dictate everything from how you raise your children, "It takes a village" to your take home pay. Since they rarely contribute anything to anything ,except their own well being and the well being of the slackards they serve, they contribute nothing to anything but their own narcissic, generally athiestic narrow point of view and congratulate themselves on their personal sense of value. They call conservatives neocons as if to belittle with empty rhetorical definitions of nothingness. However we know the truth about neoCOMS. Marx would be thrilled with his new bride.
Not to worry though, I have more faith than that in the American people. At least my generation will have to dissappear before the new world order presents itself. Then they will have only themselves to blame. Even France can stand proud relative to these surrender monkeys. Bush is not perfect and the Republicans are surely a dissapointment. You haven't seen dissapointment yet. Let the Clintons reign one more time and you will hear a sucking sound all the way to Washington. That sound will be the sound of working people and entrepreneurs folding their wallets.

Gotta look to the media and what is reported. I read paper from several countries and sort through to get my information. If you listen to one station only (ex. Fox) you're getting a biased view. You have to search to be informed.

The democratic majority is by what, one or two. The republicans are being obstructionists and the rules are that a side does not win or get actions passed with a majority of 1 or 2. What is it? 2/3?

It would behoove you to look at the big picture, and the total reality, not snippets.
You assume that I rely on fox for news? You know what assume means.
I have watched Gore deliver his rants and yes they are rants much like you see lunatics deliver. Because he won a Nobel peace prize hardly proves anything given some of the others who have recieved what once was the ultimate prize. Yassir Arafat??? Whose rise to power included targeting Israeli school children and hospitals? No Not from fox.... I was over there when Mr. arrofat was hitting hospitals, and schools.
The democrats have yet to even attempt meaningful change. They are no different than those they replaced. Fighting for scraps of pork.
What have they done about oil? What have they even tried????
What have they done about illegal immigration? Not what the hispanic lobby wants but what the great majority of US Citizens have asked for and were promised????? NOTHING

I say vote against whomever is in office. They have all failed us. Teach them that yes they can be fired.

I'm gonna vote for Big Foot, or whatever that creature is in the Northwest. I just hope they catch him by November, 2008, just in time for the election. America desperately need something different.

Always better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.

There are people who believe the world is hollow and there are others who think it is flat, there is even 24% of the population who still agree with our President, to that I say it is to be expected that some people will believe anything.

Ask yourself how hard it is to sit down and consider something rationally and then change your own mind in the face of facts contrary to what you may have believed, then ask yourself what chance do you think you have of changing the mind of another?

Best bet, is to kick back, enjoy the free exchange of ideas and make sure your Congress critter knows you by first name, I know mine does.

Huh...you voted for Bush twice and you would vote for him again? Apparently you place a much higher priority on party affiliation or allegence than national interest and what is best for the country, the world and the American people.
