Paula dean must have really messed up if Walmart is not gonna sell her products. Walmart still continue to sell Lil'wayne and other rappers products that use tons of racial slurs in their songs.

If Paula were a black celebrity who made a racist remark about whites, nobody would've batted an eyelash.
It's glaringly obvious that the reason why Walmart and other companies have proceeded to terminate their contracts with Paula is because of pressure from the NAACP and other black organizations.
It's funny to read people's hypocrisy about this whole story. Everybody that I personally know has used a racial remark at some point in their life. Anyone who claims they've never done it is simply a liar.
I think they're referencing the fact that Trayvon Martin referred to Zimmerman as a cracker, and that his friend Rachel saw no racist connotation in the word.
Anyway, still don't think she's a racist, and people need to leave the poor woman alone.
I don't care if she is a racist or not. (I hate her food so I am happy to see her go though.)
Who am I to tell the Food Network what to do with their money? If they don't want to renew her contact that is their right. Who am I to tell the drug company who they should hire or fire? Who am I to tell major retailers what they can and cannot sell?
I am not a communist unlike you and all the other people who want to tell corporations how to run their businesses. I believe in a free market.

What is with the communism? Walmart can sell whatever they want. Walmart can "bow to pressure" if they want. It's their decision.
Since you hate the US and capitalism so much, you should move to North Korea where the government forces companies to bend to their will.
Once again, it's not about the sponsors who have decided to drop Deen. That's 100% in their prerogative. It's about the way the media has blown this story up to be such a big deal. I am tired of this role in media - this zeal to tear a person down. This story should have been a blurb at most - Deen said a racist word thirty years ago and then apologized. Instead, it's become something akin to a witch hunt. My impression is that the media loves to see her being torn apart.
