This article and embedded video shows an off duty cop in his cruiser pulling over a pickup truck that he assumes is DWI or having a fit of road rage. Turns out it's another off duty cop who has a problem with being pulled over. I can't believe the attitude of this guy.
The saddest part of the article is that there is no ensuing disciplinary action. Imagine if you or I acted this beligerent on a traffic stop... Odds are we'd be licking pavement with taser wires protruding from our bodies.
Good for the Cop calling out the other cop, but the fellow cop should have been given the same treatment as any citizen.
I can see him resisting his authority
Combative
Reckless Driving
Speeding
Which would be enough to get that man tazered at the least.
Here is another story of a man that was pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt.
Cop Fired After Dash Cam Video shows him Running Over Man for Not Wearing Seat Belt
Quote:
Knowing his dash cam was recording everything, a Florida cop did not hesitate to use his patrol car to follow a man 100 feet into an open field, plowing down a fence at 60 mph, before mowing down the fleeing man, killing him instantly.
The man’s crime: he was not wearing a seatbelt.

I think the cop in the truck should have gotten a ticket. Off duty, he is subject to the same laws that any citizen driving the road is subject to.
At 2x the speed limit, his ticket in almost every city/state I have been in would be a reckless driving charge, and in MANY cases, would result in an arrest and vehicle tow.
