Not only that, apparently Trayvon got up after being shot through the heart and walked away toward where they found his body. Now, what could be more convenient than that?
I don't know. But could not the force of the gunshot have pushed Martin upright? I ain't no expert and, unlike some on this forum, do not pretend to be.
The trajectory of the bullet might show exactly what angle TM was shot at. The force of the bullet might have lifted his body during impact but unlikely that is would have sat him up.
[quote=Fox Terrier;30193286]If his heart kept pumping after being shot, and he was on top of zimmerman, why was there none of Trayvon's blood on zimmerman?
Excellent question! I think we can eliminate that scenario based on the evidence (no blood on Zimmerman's clothes).
I'm very familiar with internal bleeding, especially with heart punctures. The immediate impact on such a wound is quite extraordinary, and takes a fraction of a minute to occur. However, when punching someone and covering their bloody nose, it's extremely difficult, if not impossible, to NOT get their blood and DNA on your person.
You justify my gut feeling about you. I am a 1911 guy and always will be. I have a CCW but seldom carry. Where I live there is no reason to. I have it to save a potential hassle if I am ever pulled over coming from the range. I normally pack the weapon in my range bag. That is a concealed weapon, at least in PA.
If I knew I was going into combat I would load one in the pipe, but not to carry. I like hollow points as well, 230 grn of knock down meat shredding lethality.
As I have said before. My primary bone in this whole thing is the idea of harassing someone walking down the street. When you do that you are begging for a confrontation of some kind. I like to walk and I don't like people bothering me for it. I am a vet and feel I have earned the right to walk down any street I like. I feel everyone has that right.
I used to carry a 1911 but never really got used to the size and bulk. I carried a Sig 238 for a few years and while I know a .380 isn't a 45, 7 rounds of it will hurt no matter what. I switched to the Sig 239 when it was recently released and I've carried it ever since stuffed with Hornady 9mm critical defense hollow point, same in my spare mag.
I'm a vet as well and I agree that everyone should have the right to walk down any public street they want, I'm just not sold on the story of Trayvon Martin being chased down or stalked.
