I find it disgusting that Zimmerman is on trial now too. As for a civil case, I hope he gets to sue someones pants off after he is found innocent for a trial that should never have happened. It is shameful to make a victim of someone trying to help out his neighborhood when the police evidently could not make it safe.

for the people saying Zman was attacked and had to use his gun to defend himself....dont you think that if he was unable to defend himself against an unarmed teenager, that he should not be volunteering for this organization? maybe he should have left it for people properly trained to handle a situation like that. Im sure the goal of the organization is the opposite of shooting and killing people.

But it's not actually about credibility because the burden of proof is on the prosecution. All the defense must do is provide reasonable doubt and credibility of the witnesses testifying against the defendant is one method of doing so.
Well, it's a little bit different because the defense has to make a prima facie case of self defense as a result of filing an affirmative defense.
