yes, and a theory easily tested due to states allowing Concealed Carry at different times. Looking at those states . . .it seems pretty clear there is no evidence that Concealed carry is a crime deterrent.

Your logic is flawed.

If you want us to believe CCW impact crime, prove that it increases it. You can't do it. Ergo, you have nothing.

There is no point in proving that CCW lowers crime. Because there's no point in restricting something that does not cause damage, rather than just not decrease it.

Any benefits of CCW can be viewed completely outside of this argument and would only need to be brought in if arguing that the benefits outweigh the costs - and those costs have not even been established.

By the way, there are mountains of data out there on defensive gun use if you care to look into it. I'd do it, were it an argument worth making. Establish figures on how many lives CCW costs, then it'll be worth my trouble to counter it with figures on how many lives it saves.

This all boils down to some people do not believe they have a right to injure anyone else even if it is to defend themselves or other innocents. Some of us have a different attitude.

I disagree with the wording. I would say, "some people do not believe that other people have a right to injure anyone else even if it is to defend themselves or innocents." They, of course, would never get into that situation or would be able to simply call the police. And also the police are exempt from the "other people" grouping because they are somehow superior to normal people.
