I read the article and comments. It isn't saying if the charges were immediately filed, as in the girl was still being cared for at the time of charges.
In any event, the comment by the gf was that the girl would lie. In my experience, at the age the girl was, she would not. They just don't about things like that.
If it was at the time as in recent, a medical exam would be done and there could be proof that these things happened. There is evidence of these offenses on a little child's anatomy.
If it were years later, probably not.
This is a case that can go either way if its just based on statements but statements of a child that young are very credible.
Another thing that would point to guilt would be that this daycare operated for quite some time and if it were others in that house, she wouldn't have been the only one if someone else living there the whole time would have been the perpetrator other than this suspect.

Child molesters are opportunistic. They will get to as many as they can by whatever opportunity that presents itself. If it were someone else in that home, there would have been other victims in years past.

i understand, but how does this point to him? by that logic, he shoulda molested more kids while he lived there, he lived there for couple yrs
This type of thing happened to me a number of years ago. Here's the back story, we had been married for 14 years, she (the wife) decides to have an affair. I worked alot and was out of town allot on business trips, but while I was home I tried to make up for being gone, so I tried to arrange some activites we could all to together. My wife decides she to busy to do anything, so it's just me and my daughter going on camping trips, scuba diving and general outdoor fun. So we decide to get a divorce, she gets her divorce and all is well, that is until my daughter turned 18, she was not going to college so I petitioned the court to drop child support and the court agreed. Now I'm living in the Pacific Northwest and she living somewhere in the Mid-west, I have a crap load of police officers show up at my place of business and they arrest me for child molestation, I was dumb struck. I contacted a lawyer the lawyer contacted my daughter and was asking her questions, wanting to get a statement from her. So in front of the DA and my lawyer, my daughter proceeded to tell this story. To make a long story short, my ex-wife had got my daughter to agree to create this story of me molesting her, and they went to the DA with it. Come to find out the only reason this was done was for her to have grounds for a civil suit. My daughter confessed to my lawyer and the DA that nothing ever happened and that her mother put her up to this.
They didn't do a damn thing to her mother, looked at me and said your free to go, even after all the papers in town and every news channel in town brands you as a child molester. "Your free to go" ya right. I lost my job and allot of my friends that had children.
Yes, it can be done by just an accusation to destroy ones life, be it real or false. If your a child molester, then you deserve nothing, you should spend the rest of your life in jail.
If you have been falsely accused, then your in for the fight of your life.

people who falsely accuse or coach should get the same punishment as the crime they are accusing of warrants
