I doubt that we will do anything beyond supporting Turkey should they decide to make incursions into Syria. Besides, this is a proxy war with Iran and Hezbollah, and Sunni countries like Saudi Arabia are chomping at the bit to get some real arms in there to start fighting their holy war. Our best chance to counter that influence is to hopefully build the capacity of the more secular rebel groups. However, when it's all said and done there is a massive refugee problem that could destabilize Jordan and a ruthless secular leader that we probably would have left alone if he weren't aligned with Iran.

In the end there will be no real winners.

Oh, and major laugh at the idiot brigade who thinks that "liberals" will support an invasion. The ongoing NSA controversy has destroyed any unquestioning liberal backing the President might have once had. They certainly aren't going to start voting Republican, but the Democratic leadership is in hot water come the next primaries.

Wait, there are still people who think that Obama's foreign policy is different from the Bush administration?

I doubt that Obama is going to invade has he does not have the congressional support. He might do some bombing like Libya and support of others who do it tho without going to congress.

Will grit teeth and support the guys and gals that have to do the actual heavy lifting. Will demonstrate my frustration at the ballot box(not that it did any good last time).

USA can no longer police the world. We can't afford too now. Let others step up to the plate militarily. The rest of the world reminds me of a pipsqueak goading the big dumb oaf to fight for them. Sadly we have a cadre of politicians(both left and right) that's been going along with this stuff since WWI.
