I think the Supreme Court made the right decision.
The criteria needs to be brought up to date before it can be applied.
Times have changed from 40 years ago and Congress needs to move "FORWARD" !!

I suspect more related court cases to come up in the future. This probably is just the beginning.
Voter ID laws are a separate issue. Because the Supreme Court has rulled the nine states no longer had to ask the federal govenment's permission on thier voter laws...does not mean that voter ID laws are "OK". The Justice department argued that "preclearence" was needed before the ID Laws could take effect. Now that preclerence is not the issue, voter ID Laws could be challenged on other justifications.

States will still have to follow Voter rights act laws, Federal Voting laws and the US Constitution.

Well, this should put an end to the immigration bill too. States will now be free to deny the vote to Latinos in 9 states and key cities, so the congress should remain comfortably in the hands of the Republicans.

Again, 0 understanding of history or current events and the reason for this law in the first place.

Back to History 101 for you. If I have to explain it to you after all these decades, you're clearly incapable of understanding.

Then again, perhaps you don't want to understand. "Lalalalala, I can't heaaaarrrr you!"

Wait ... good lord ... you're serious.

The most hated Congress in history, with fewer accomplishments than any Congress in history, moving forward? OMG I think I just choked on my Diet Coke ... stop, you're killing me ....

And again, times have changed. Imagine that. Isn't that what the Voting Rights Act was supposed to do? It worked. Why are you mad now?

This is great. The liberals love it when there is "progress" and everything moves "forward", unless it clashes with their agenda. Then they want the status quo.

Clearly the SCOTUS believes we have moved to a point where voter discrimination is not as big a deal as it was, so it's only right to move "forward" on the issue.
