Why was Issa investigating ONLY the targeting of conservative groups? If the invetigators themselves prove to be more corrupt than the people they investigate, then I'll tell you we got some serious problems.

The IRS has been under fire since last month after admitting it targeted tea party and other conservative groups that wanted the tax-exempt designation for tough examinations. While investigators have said that agency screening for those groups had stopped in May 2012, Monday's revelations made it clear that screening for other kinds of organizations continued until earlier this month, when the agency's new chief, Danny Werfel, says he discovered it and ordered it halted.

Double check, the non Obama opposition were questioned for different more routine matters and not asked the same questions.

The tightly controlled federal agency was directed to attack Obama's opponents. This came from the highest levels whether a trail of crumbs lead to Obama or not.

This is an attempt to diminish the complaint of IRS as Obama's attack dog.

The fact that IRS leaders were so smug under questioning by Congress, it is clear they feel they are being protected by the highest levels.

Clearly the IRS needs to be razed and a flat tax installed.

Yes what most people do not get is there are standard written procdures that should be followed in an organization. Sometimes these procedures coincide with law. Those procedures were thrown out the window for the targeted groups.

How many "progressive" groups got bounced around for years?

Assuming this is the truth why are we hearing this now? Why didn't someone mention liberal groups were being targeted during the hearings? There is whole more to this that has to come out yet. If these other groups were on the list and it's found that the tea party groups were getting bounced around for years and the liberal ones weren't the revelation of this makes it worse, not better.

Just as the conservative groups were quick to scream and cry when the original "scandal" was brought to light, this is something that needs to be investigated.

The real Republican Party from years ago probably turned over in their grave watching what they are doing today. Desperation at its finest.

The whole point is that facts prove that contrary to what we have been told by the invertigatile committee, the IRS did not single out conservative groups, but attacked liberal groups the same way. The whole committee needs to be hauled out and be investigated themselves.

It would be nice to know, but since Issa decided to investigate the harrassment of conservative groups ONLY, we do not know. An honest investigation would investigate the treatment of ALL groups, not just the ones which represent your own party. What a joke.
