You do understand that legally, there are a lot of differences between "acting" and legal marriage, right?
So you would sanction a same-sex marriage performed by the UCC or other churches that are willing to do it?
I HATE the term "Gay Marriage", Gays have been getting married forever, just not to the person they really want to, but the person "society" told them they must marry. A Gay man marries a female where sex really isn't important to her and visa-verse, or they "cheat".
That may be so for some people.. I believe they call them bi, but what does it have to do with Freedom.
Now if your looking for some government favoritism, well that seems to be the curse of this generation...
Meaning... Look to the FEDS to justify, indemnify, protect, rear, and provide.
It points to a society that is willing to have not just a biological mother, but a life long mothering of Governance...

I think you need to talk with a few male/female couples that had a child "unnaturally" and tell them what you think about having a child like that.
I would try to explain it but I don't think you would understand.

The truth of the matter is that there is nothing important to the well being and healthy upbringing of a child that is afforded one sex and precluded another. Or at least if there is then the anti homosexual lobby has thus far been unable to find it.
The very very few that have tried have turned out to just be holding on to some archaic notions of the "role" of women or men in society and the thing they want to bring to childhood upbringing is role models for conforming to those archaic notions.
