Yes, it is. Here is the topic: Should same-sex couples also get same federal benefits?

Millions of Americans consider homosexuality immoral, but the government will force them to finance it anyway.

Obviously that Christians have been fine with remarriage, as indicated by the relative lack of protesting and attempts to influence the laws regarding it, all this time but not marriage between homosexuals. The reason? Prejudice. They don't oppose gay marriage because God doesn't like it; they oppose it because they don't like it. Very simple.

100% agree. Government has no place even using the term marriage. Call it what it is, a 'Contract'. Leave the religous based terms out of the Contract As Tax paying citizens Gays should be able to do what ever they want and be afforded the same benefits for them and their chosen mates regarless of what I or anyone else thinks about their Sexual preference.

Federal benefits are not paid funding. They are reduced revenues. You aren't financing anything.

Even if you were, the government gives you an option to stop financing it. You aren't forced to.

Majority of Americans approve of gay marriage and it's increasing. This part of the government is functioning as the founding fathers wanted.

I have to finance your marriage, so turn about is only fair play.

When was the word marriage first used by the church?

Would you complain the same for those who consider war immoral but are still required to finance it? What about prisons?

BS. Christians are not fine with remarriage. Those who follow the teachings of the lord and savior Jesus Christ will not remarry (themselves). They will not stop others from remarrying, however. They also will not be prejudice against gays.

You are mistaking fake Christians as Christians.

What about this: are you willing to have your government accept higher tax payments from people who have what you call an immoral lifestyle because of the marriage penalty?
