I'm old enough to remember a little about the push back in the 60s when civil rights legislation was passed--that the world was going to end because african americans had civil rights protections--and this is just more of the same kind of hysteria. The truth is that it doesn't matter what you think. All Americans should have the same rights and protections extended to them. It doesn't matter that you don't "like" it.
Yes, as far as the OP, nobody says you don't have a right--regardless of your age and any other demographic status you have--to oppose equal rights and priviliges to gay couples. You can support, oppose, or ignore any issue you want. It's a free country.
But, like the people who opposed equal rights for blacks a few decades ago, people opposing SSM will come to be more and more anachronstic; a throwback to a less enlightened era.

Yes. Similarly to the people who opposed interracial marriage in the 60s. They used the exact same ridiculolus "arguments" to oppose interracial marriage as the same xenophobics use today to oppose SSM.

That will never happen. The Catholic Church can and does discriminate against their own flock all the time. My mom is divorced and will never have a Catholic wedding again. Is she goona sue? No because the Catholic Church only performs sacraments on those who they deem "worthy".
Churches will always be able to discriminate cuz guess what, unlike your sexual orientation, your religious orientation is a choice.

Obama said yesterday that he won't force churches to marry same sex couples. How gracious of him. Evidently he thinks he had the power to do so but is restraining himself at the moment. Who is to say the next President or stupid SCOTUS judges will be so restrained?

Because our generation grew up with the internet. We have always had exposure to unlimited information and knowledge, as well as a way to talk with and better understand many other cultures. Therefore, we are expected (by our peers at least) to not be ignorant bigoted racists like the majority of our parents and their generation.
And let's be honest: The only people who oppose gay marriage are ignorant bigots. Since you are expected to not be an ignorant bigot (because you grew up with the internet), you are expected to not have the same opinion as them.

People grow up in all kinds of situations. Single parenting. Orphan Homes. Communes. And much much more. And they as a group are no worse off than the rest of us as a group in "getting along with the opposite sex".
