Gays have the right to marry in all states already. Just because some state governments won't recognize the marriage does not preclude a gay couple from getting married.
Why do people need the government to approve of their relationships anyway? I find it strange when people willingly petition government to get more involved in what they can and cannot do.

Yep. People also seem to forget Clinton signing NAFTA too.
And him signing the repeal of Glass-Steagall that created "too big to fail". I do understand this was a bipartisan effort, but he could have vetoed it, so he is MORE culpable IMO.
