Pretty lame hypothesis that sexuality is correlated with gun ownership.

The more someone supports guns the straighter they are????

I've heard some pretty stupid arguments but that one is up there.

These guys have outdone themselves.

In other words, if you are a man and you drink only four standard drinks per day, but you drink four every day, you are drinking 28 drinks per week -- twice the recommended level for low-risk alcohol consumption. Likewise, drinking four drinks a day four times a week would also exceed the guidelines.

It's worse than I thought. You do know that South Park characters aren't real people, right? Put the beer down and go outside.

In this usage, it came from tea party members and organisations.

Feb. 27, 2009
At the first anti-stimulus "New American Tea Party" rally in Washington D.C., a protester has a sign reading "Tea Bag the Liberal Dems before they Tea Bag You!!"

March 2
Americans for Prosperity, advocates sending tea bags to elected officials to protest the stimulus package. Several other lobby groups follow suit.
Badges with the message "Proud to be a Tea Bagger" are on sale at Tea Party events

April 1
Several Tea Party protest sites encourage readers to "Tea bag the fools in DC."

April 9
Rachel Maddow mocks the Tea Party's use of the phrase on her MSNBC show. "Even Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina is getting in on the hot tea-bagging action," she says, stifling laughter.

April 14, 2010
Andrew Breitbart posts a "I'm Proud to be a Tea Bagger" video on the site Big Government (in an attempt to reclaim the term?).

As a side note, I encourage you liberals to check my posting history recently. I have been nothing but supportive of gay marriage.

The fact still remains, when the inevitable happens and I go to the ballot box in Oregon to vote on gay marriage one day, I can't help but to see hypocrisy in this group so ardent for their own constitutional rights while infringing on mine.
The short answer is because you support gay marriage, and what gay people think of gun rights is irrelevant. Otherwise you're basing your opinions on reciprocity and nothing else. In that case, why would you support gun rights in the first place? It becomes a vicious cycle that goes beyond your control.

The long answer is identity politics are silly. Based on your posting history, my guess is you see yourself as a representative of "strong" America that must battle against the whimpification forces, which includes groups such as overly protective women, anti-gun advocates, and gays in general. I could be wrong, but I suspect you'd be totally fine with a gay guy who otherwise exhibited hegemonic masculinity, but are derisive towards the feminine acting ones. I think it is somewhat normal for young guys to think this way (including some otherwise masculine gay guys) but it still is a type of homophobia that we don't always realize exists because it's so engrained in our culture. So who cares if there are gay people who have pigeon-holed themselves into a certain identity - gay marriage and gun rights have nothing to do with each other.
