Exactly! So there should be no objection to requiring voter ID.
It is simplicity itself to register to vote - being registered does not mean that one is a legal citizen eligible to vote. That is why the ID is necessary to validate ones citizenship, and since it can't be described as a poll tax, there is no excuse for anyone to do what is necessary to obtain that ID.
Democrats are only opposed to voter ID because it means that they can't have illegal aliens and dead people vote for their candidates.
Harrier still hasn't told me why he hates legal citizens who don't have the means to get to these voter ID centers.
Or perhaps Harrier believes that's the price some people just have to pay so that states can crack down on statistically nonexistent voter fraud? Perhaps Harrier also hates veterans, and sick people, and old people, who will have difficulty getting to the voter ID center?
Anxiously waiting Harrier's explanation. Wait, what's that sound .... crickets?

Most poor live in the city. Maybe they can use a bus or train to get there.
DMV offices are pretty centrally located.
Or maybe the DMV could do an outreach program and have a booth at Walmart because we know they all can find their way to Walmart.
And FWIW nearly 75% of poor have one vehicle.
2010 census
You have never heard of public transportation, taxis, bicycles, walking, or being acquainted with someone who owns a car, Harrier sees.
That poster most certainly did say something about living 12 miles away from the ID center.
The poster said nothing about illegals. YOU inserted that into the argument as a diversion.
As for public transportation, even Harrier knows that it's skimpy at best everywhere in the US but major cities. It's expensive. For some people, it's a physical impossibilty.
These are true facts. Perhaps Harrier can tell me how a sick old lady with no car and limited income can walk, ride a bicycle, or take public transportation to a distant ID center.

Hooray. So we only disenfranchise 25% of the poor. No wonder you're a Happy Texan. And wait ... what's that? "They can all find their way to Walmart"? My, what a condescending statement that is. Now we all know exactly what supporters of this ID law really think.

Why don't you push for a public(or implement a private)transportation system to be funded for these people who are incapable of getting around?
Here - we have Dial a Ride, which is funded by local municipalities.
There are also volunteer groups who shuttle the old and infirm around.
It seems that the Democrats don't want to look for solutions to ensure that every vote cast is valid, and instead want to play politics - like the queen falsely insinuating that Harrier "hates" people who don't drive a car.
Harrier guesses that means that Harrier hates himself - and the closest place to get an ID is 7 miles away.
Redistricting was done here in California to the benefit of the Democrats.
What were you trying to say again?
A lot of the partisan manipulation of the redistricting process has been removed in California's redistricting process. The majority political party is not in control of the process in California.
